STEM Building, Cadbury College

Cadbury College has revealed the second phase of its cutting-edge STEM Building in collaboration with Speller Metcalf, who are the main contractors. The facility, dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, features 12 pieces of 30/30 external grade 16mm Pyrobel fire-rated glass used in screens.

Fire Glass supplied and installed over 1 tonne of fire-rated and laminated glass in total for this project. Also, installing the timber screens which had to be built up on site due to their size, along with a 6.8 and 8.8mm DGU in a hardwood timber screen. The project required our entire team to be on-site for three days.

Incorporating these high-tech glazing systems emphasises safety and aesthetics, aligning with Cadbury College’s commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment. A significant leap forward in Birmingham’s STEM education landscape.
