Fire Glass North has recently been involved in supplying 4000 pieces of EI30 fire-rated glass to a Metal Works in Israel. The steel door manufacturer and processor of sheet metal ship to customers in Israel and around the world.

Jonathon Booth, Operations Manager, said, “This is a significant milestone for the North branch, with this being our first export order we have supplied. The order filled a total of 15 crates which was loaded onto a 20ft container. Two stock sizes fulfilled the order; rectangles cut on our vertical saws in Oldbury and Edinburgh and circles that were cut on our CNC machine in Manchester.

The container ship took three weeks to arrive in Israel and then only roughly 30 minutes drive from the Port to where the order was delivered.

The supplied glass will be installed into steel industrial door sets, which will then be shipped worldwide. Feedback from the customer has been positive, and they will be placing another export order with us shortly.”
