Fire Glass Scotland is delighted to name Leon Cruickshank as their ‘Employee of the Month’. Despite only being with the company for a short while, Leon has already made a significant impact in his role as Factory Operative, displaying remarkable initiative, leadership, and versatility.
Currently progressing through his probation period, Leon has quickly mastered the fundamental aspects of his role and has embraced training in multiple key areas, including Crane operation, Sandblasting, Hand-cutting, and IGU processing. His adaptability and eagerness to learn have set him apart as a fast-developing talent within the team.
What truly makes Leon’s nomination stand out is his willingness to take on leadership responsibilities beyond expectations. He has stepped up to train and mentor new starters, ensuring they receive attentive and informative guidance while settling into their roles. His keen eye for detail and proactive approach have helped streamline training and improve team efficiency.
Beyond training, Leon has been instrumental in keeping the factory running smoothly, anticipating tasks that need to be done – from stillaging to sandblasting – and ensuring that all operations run efficiently. Additionally, he has taken the lead on Customer Collections, demonstrating strong communication skills and acting as a reliable link between customers and the office. His enthusiasm in this front-facing role has enhanced the customer experience and strengthened Fire Glass Scotland’s service reputation.
