Fire Glass Midlands significantly upgraded its manufacturing process: we now exclusively produce our etched lined designed panels using in-house operatives, allowing fire-rated and non-fire-rated options with significantly faster lead times.

Over the past year, demand has increased as more customers choose these sophisticated designs for their door vision panels. Our new in-house production capability means we can meet this demand more efficiently as we previously relied on external contractors to apply designs, which often led to delays.

Chris Room, our experienced in-house filmer, has eliminated these bottlenecks. Chris brings a wealth of expertise in decorative glass. He manages every step of the design process, from mask printing and application to sandblasting and the final precise shield application. If the product is fire-rated, he also applies the necessary surround tape. This comprehensive in-house process ensures consistent quality and quicker turnaround times, giving us greater control over the final product.

In addition to etched-lined designs, we offer various bespoke design options to meet our customer’s bespoke requirements, including logos, borders, and printed text, all available through our advanced sandblasting and filming techniques.

This strategic shift improves our efficiency and reinforces our commitment to swiftly and reliably delivering high-quality, customised specialist glass solutions.
