As part of our group development plan, Fire Glass North, based in Manchester, has recently continued its investment in machinery and has commissioned and installed a semi-automatic IGU line to produce fire-resistant and non-fire-resistant double-glazing units.

The Forel semi-automatic unit line will increase daily production capacity at the branch to 500 units per day. Production will include fire-resistant and non-fire units. It will have options to include integral blinds, gas filling, and all regular unit combinations, including toughened, laminated, and acoustic laminated glasses. In addition, the unit line can manufacture units up to 1500mm x 2800mm and up to 50mm thick, making it highly versatile and able to produce units with a wide range of configurations.
